Rubber vulcanization

Vulcanization is one of the oldest processes ment to transform polymeric raw materials into items. It gives the possibility to obtain objects of several shapes that mantain however a remarkable elasticity.
Actually the fundamental characteristic of rubbers is the reversibility of the endured deformations.
Rubber mix is prepeared by cutting it with a proper dimension and positionin it manualy or automatically into the mould where temperature (normally around 160°C) makes reticolation happen.

The main field of employment is the building and in particular components for elevators.
Products range includes:
protections,
gaskets,
shocks-absorber,
etc.

Some data:
more than 150.000 anti-vibration buffers
more than 200.000 rubber cables coverings
more than 100.000 suspension buffers
produced by IPA elastomers division per year.
